When you purchase from Lyon Park Dahlias, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions listed on this page. 

  • The American Dahlia Society 2022 virus testing program concluded that 87% of healthy looking samples tested positive for at least one virus. That means almost 9 out of every 10 dahlias you grow in your garden are likely already virused. Due to their prevalence, we do not warranty, guarantee, or test for viruses. We actively cull any varieties that do not appear healthy.   • We do not replace plants due to shipping delays. If you would like to upgrade to 1-day shipping, please reach out to us. Shipping terms are FOB shipping point. 
  • If you are seeking a refund because of plant failure, we will need to see photos of each plant you are seeking a refund for within 10 days of receiving your plant.
  • Once orders are placed, we do not accept cancellations.  So please make sure you want what you are ordering. 
  • We strive to make sure that your plants will arrive at your home safe and sound. We want you to be successful and enjoy beautiful dahlias.  Unfortunately, we cannot control anything once we ship your babies out the door. 
    • During shipping, it is not uncommon for some foliage to yellow and maybe even turn brown or blackish, but this will not affect the growth of your dahlias. Upon arrival, remove damaged foliage prior to planting. 
    • While we make sure to water the plants prior to shipping, it is possible that they may wilt slightly during shipping. Water them as soon as they arrive. 
    • Follow our care instructions on the website.
    • If there is severe damage, we require that you email us pictures of every cutting within 24 hours of receiving your package.  Upon receiving proof of damage we will strive to send you a replacement if available, but if no replacement is available we will issue a refund.
    • If your package arrives visibly damaged, we require you to take pictures of the packaging prior to opening the package. If there are damaged plants inside, we need pictures of the packaging and the plants.
    • We put a ton of effort into ensuring that our plants are in fantastic shape when we send them to you. YOU HAVE AN EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY to keep them that way.  If your plants fail, or even if they are diseased you need to realize there is a real possibility that the issue wasn’t something that we did to the plant.  We are well aware that not all of our plants will make it, but we grow tens of thousands of plants every year in our greenhouses and we lose very few of them. 
    • Lyon Park Dahlias can not control what happens to your plants once you receive them. There are pests, diseases and viruses in your home/farm environment.  The pesky things even exist inside your home.  Our plants are subjected to new risks the moment they leave our care and you bear a lot of the responsibility of keeping them healthy.  We are not responsible for any costs you may incur when undertaking the care of our plants and will not refund anything beyond the cost of the plants that you purchased.  Once you have them, you are responsible for all monies that you put into them, beyond the cost of the plant. 
    • We are not responsible for weather related plant injury or death.
